Online Application
The online application will take between 30 minutes and an hour to complete. It will require you to fill in personal details, education history, contact details and any work experience you have. You will be asked to submit your CV, but Deloitte doesn’t require a Cover Letter.
Expect an immediate response before progressing to the next stage.
Immersive Online Assessment
The Immersive Online Assessment is an untimed online test that usually takes around an hour to complete. It consists of three different question types: situational judgement, numerical reasoning, and personality type questions.
Situational Judgement
These type of questions will present you with imaginative scenarios. It will look to examine how you behave and approach situations in a work environment. Some of the questions will ask you to rank your answers in terms of your preference, with “1” being what you are most likely to do and “5” the least likely to do.
Numerical Reasoning
You will be asked to interpret numerical information and draw conclusions from different data sets. A quantitative background is not required but you will need basic mathematical concepts (percentage change, ratios, etc.)
Personality Type Question
You will be asked to respond to slider questions where you need to place your preference on a sliding scale between two options.
How to respond for success
When answering situation judgement questions, keep in mind Deloitte’s values and base your answers on them. Try to imagine that you are in real situations in a work environment and think about how you would reach. Also, it is important to read the questions and answers carefully because sometimes, one word can change the meaning of the whole answer.
For numerical questions, you can find sample numerical tests online and practise. That helped me to be more confident and complete the test successfully.
For personality questions, answer as honest as possible. Deloitte is looking to assess how well will you fit within the company.
Expect a 2-week wait before progressing to the next stage.

Job Simulation
The Job Simulation is Deloitte’s video interview which also takes around an hour. You should expect to be asked a number of video response questions as well as written, multiple-choice and rank order questions.
The Job Simulation is divided into three sections. The first one will ask you four video responses questions. You will have 3 minutes to answer and 2 minutes to read the question and prepare. The next section will ask nine questions, and you will have a time limit to complete them. They include multiple-choice, ranked list questions and a written response.
The written question will be similar to a case study where you will need to analyse data and present your findings in an email. The last section will ask a video response and other situational based questions.
Example task
Most of the video response questions are situational, and you also might get asked to present yourself to a senior manager.
How to respond for success
Like every video interview, it is essential to present yourself well in front of the camera. For example, look directly at the camera, dress professionally and try to speak clearly and concisely.
It is not required to use the full allocated time, so it is better to have a short but well-structured answer. For me, practising video responses ahead of the interview was helpful as I felt less stressed. In regards to the written response, it is important to have a good structure as if you are writing a professional email/report.
Expect a 1-month wait before progressing to the next stage.
Final Interview
The Final Stage Assessment is an interview with a senior manager from your department of choice. You will receive an email to book a date and time that suits you.
The final assessment consists of two parts – an interview and a case study. The first part is motivation and competency-based. You will be asked about your interest in the role and in joining Deloitte. Here you will have the chance to show the research you have done about the programme and the company.
The competency part of the interview is about how you have dealt with certain situations in the past. Deloitte looks to see how you have used your skills and whether you have a good approach. In the second part of the interview, you will be given two cases studies. The interviewer will present them to you, and you will have time to prepare and then comment on the cases. After that, the interview will ask questions, and you will discuss the topic further.
Example task
Typical competency questions such as “Tell me a time when…” and questions about your motivation to apply for the role and Deloitte.
How to respond for success
I would suggest doing your research about your chosen role, the latest trends in the industry and Deloitte. It is beneficial if you can link your experience to your motivations for applying, which can present you as a natural fit for the role.
Think about school projects, but more importantly, extracurricular activities, previous internships, or part-time jobs. For the competency questions, use real-life examples and implement the STAR method in your answers. Expect a month wait before being offered a position at Deloitte.
