Online Application

The application was found on the careers section of the Deloitte website and took around half an hour to complete. After watching a short introductory video, you will be required to fill in your personal information and upload your CV. Lastly, you have the opportunity to expand upon your experiences and skills that are relevant to the role.

Expect a 2-week wait before progressing to the next stage.

Phone Interview

The first interview was conducted over the phone and consisted of about 5 or 6 questions with an opportunity to ask your own at the end. This interviewer was a senior management at the New York branch of Deloitte. The main focus of the questions were experiences and skills that would benefit Christeen in the role.

Virtual Interview

The second interview was questions based on personality and character. Christeen describes that this interview was more relaxed and was fairly conversational. She recommends using this opportunity to talk about your hobbies, interests and passions, to provide the interviewer with a rounded sense of your character. ​

How to respond for success

Christeen suggests that you should be yourself and to express your interests and knowledge for topics you’re passionate about. The interviewers want unique perspectives and characters. Be careful to not come across as scripted and be yourself, especially in a conversation led stages of the process.
